The years after Voldemort's defeat had been hard on all of the Death Eaters, but Theo Nott felt he had it worst of all. With his father's death and the Ministry raids and seizures, he was left with virtually nothing of a home, and took to carousing the bars and brothels of Knockturn Alley to pass the time. His job at Borgin & Burkes allowed him to pay his fees and still keep up with the news of former Death Eaters.

One night, he was on his way to the Leaky Cauldron for a pint or six, when he ran into a beautiful young woman about his age. He was instantly interested in her and invited her to join him for a drink. Thankfully, she accepted and their love affair began. He knew her only as Bethany, and a few months of secret meetings and intense sex lead her to revealing her true name to him. It was Millicent Bulstrode. He was amazed. She was so different than she had been at school, and he was completely enamored. He had been falling in love with her, and her name changed nothing. He couldn't get enough of her, so he took up residence with her in Malfoy Manor, promising to help her in her quest to rule the wizarding world. He would stand by her no matter what.

He still keeps his job up in Knockturn, and uses the store to notify Millicent's followers of orders and meetings.
